Default DVCNews Debates: Riviera Resort Price

Last summer, Disney Vacation Club announced plans to build Disney's Riviera Resort. Located adjacent to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, the new timeshare destination would provide Skyliner transportation to two parks, a rooftop restaurant and more. Recent price increases have pushed rates for Copper Creek Villas & Cabins and Aulani to $182 per point. With Riviera still nearly 2 years away, we are left to wonder how much further prices may rise.

Topic: What do you think the price will be when DVC begins selling points at Riviera Resort?

My guess is a high price per point, but not a high point per night amount , that way DIS gets about the same total $ for every week sold, but people who buy enough points for a week only have enough for 4 or 5 days at a "more deluxe" resort. Then again, amenities could be a game changer - a Killer pool, the view of the roof top restaurant, etc. My vote is 205 per point pre buy, 2105 when the official sale starts

I expect it will be a similar price to Copper Creek Villas and Cabins or Aulani. It seems like DVC is raising prices almost twice a year at $6 increments, so currently the price is $182 per point before discounts. So I expect in the fall of 2019 at least 3 more increases might occur, so that would bring the amount up to $200 per point. But I expect DVC will offer a similar discount as it is offering now buyer to be limited to members only that if you buy 125 points or more you will get a discount. The discount for 125-149 points is $750. (125 points X 200= $25,000 - $750 = $24,250) So that makes the price per point at my estimated figure to be $194. But then after the 6 week period the price will increase to $225 for everybody.

I will see your arm, leg and spleen and up the ante to a kidney too.
I believe the 205 for existing members for 6 weeks, then the 225, like Denlo. I am priced out of the market. 625 will need to be enough.

Think $200 will be a good bet.
