This is not the first time that Hilton Head (and Vero beach, for that matter) has had storm related damage. I doubt that Disney is contemplating selling off either Hilton Head or Vero Beach just because of the latest storm.

Although the damage to Hilton Head didn't necessitate a special assessment to repair the damage, Disney has given a loan to the HHI condo association to pay for the repairs around the resort. HHI owners will pay back the loan with interest to Disney over the next 4-5 years, which means that the HHI maintenance fees will include an additional charge. I don't remember the exact amount of the charge but its relatively small.

This is the second time Disney has given a loan to the HHI owners to cover storm related damage. The last time, the loan lasted a few years and was paid off in 2012 or 2013.
