Just ordered a custom cake through Boardwalk Bakery/Private Dining.

Those white chocolate painted Tinkerbell's sure are expensive now, they quoted me $100.00 just for the Tink. Funny thing was the pastry chef told me that they were currently out of them so she was glad I put my order in 3 weeks early.

Fondant , sugar flowers and a banner it should be some cake. It should be worth the $$ as it is for a 60th birthday celebration.

I'll post a picture once we get back from our trip.

    Cheers,

    Stephanie

I know right ? I think the white chocolate sculptures are less expensive if you don't have them hand painted. In any case it is a pretty special birthday so worth the splurge.

I'd be interested in seeing the cake as well. The specialized cakes are beautiful. But boy are they expensive. I understand now why if Tinkerbell costs so much.

Wow, for that kind of $$$ I'd want Tink to deliver it in person...

Back to reality, I'm also on the list of those who want to see pics. I hope you love the cake it is a great birthday & party!

That does look pretty. Was the tink part edible? What flavor cake did you order?

The entire cake was edible. The Tinkerbell is white chocolate , and hand painted with edible paints. The flowers were sugar.

I/We personally don't like fondant to eat, so we didn't eat that.

The cake had a buttercream frosting under the fondant, chocolate cake and fresh rasp filling and it was very, very delicious. There were only 4 of us so we had it delivered on the first day and ate cake all week.
