New Fantasyland Grand Opening Set For December 6

Today we’re thrilled to announce that the grand opening of New Fantasyland will take place on December 6, 2012. Attractions included in this opening are Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel’s Grotto, Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.Previews of these attractions will begin November 19.

Darn, we'll miss the grand opening. We will be at WDW November 10-20, 2012, so we'll miss it by 16 days. Even if the New Fantasyland has a soft opening, I doubt it will stretch out to as early as mid-November.

It does say that previews will begin 11/19 so you might be able to catch some of them depending on your schedule.

I am so excited about this news. We will be there Dec. 1-8 and we hoped that we could get a ADR for Be My Guest Restaurant. Now we just need to hear when reservations open and call that day. They are saying late August.

We will be there 11-29 to Dec 6th.. I guess I know what we will be doing the 6th... we are hoping to get ADR too... called yesterday, but they are still saying late August... I'll keep trying... let me know if you hear anything.

My parents will be at the World November 26 through 29th. They usually only do 1 park day on their 3 night trips, so I wonder if there will be any "general public" or "resort guest" soft-opening offerings during that time. They are technically only associates on my membership, not owners, and because of their park style don't do APs so those special previews aren't options for them...

The way I read it, they are using the term 'Previews' for what amounts to a soft opening.
