"My Disney Experience" Free Apple iTunes App, August 2, 2012. Anyone else download it?

I just recently came into the modern age and bought a used Apple iPod iTouch 2nd Generation.

I am still playing around with it.

This is the first Walt Disney Would App that I have seen offered by the Disney Company.

It looks like now that Magic Kingdom, and soon the rest of the WDW Parks, is offering free WiFi service.

I think that I have heard that it looks a lot better on a larger iPad screen.

I can see Park Maps and Park Hours and Wait Times thus far

I see that you can also make Dining Reservations, too.

I like some other Apps that I have bought also.

Any tips from those more experienced than myself?

How does it compare to the other Disney Apps as far as Maps and Wait Times and Information in general that might help while planning and at the parks?

I don't know if it is allowed, but here is a basic link to a page about the "My Disney Experience" Free Apple iTunes App below:

It looks to be a clone of the previous Disney Mobile Magic App that was only available to Verizon customers. If it is, the wait times are nearly dead on accurate.

Thanks for the info. I have never been able to use the Disney Mobile Magic App. I have Touring Plans, too. I guess that I can try both of them in December.

I considered "Mobile Magic" a great deal when I first started using it (back when they used to charge $10/6months to use). Between dead on accurate wait times and knowing exact character meet-n-greets it was so worth it. Then they offered it for free and that made it even better. And now you check Dining options. I'd say the only thing that would make it better would be to be able to keep track of your current reservations.

From what I've seen posted elsewhere, the My Disney Experience apps will replace the Mobile Magic app from Disney Parks & Verizon. Versions of the My Disney Experience app for Android, Blackberry and Windows Phones should be available soon.

Yup, I got it as soon as I found out about it....There really much in it for me, but it's WDW so I had to have it I do like the idea of being able to check ADR availability while you're there though.

I got engaged at WDW 1/24/10

When you are on property is when the app (and former app) really shines. I was in Camp Minnie-Mickey eating lunch one day and went to check the app to see when Pocahontas was at Planet Watch (one of here usual place). When I went in it said that she was in Camp right now. I finished up my meal, threw out the trash and walked around the corner and there she was.

The reports I've seen say versions for Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone are coming soon.
