Hi Our home resort is Saratoga Spring however, we try to stay in different resorts to see how they are. We especially love the Boardwalk due to the convenience of being able to walk to two of the parks especially when we have our 2 Grandsons with us. Our upcoming vaca we will be staying for the first time in Animal Kingdom Villas, Kidani Village. Any info on this resort would be wonderful. Our Grandsons are only 1 and 2 years old. How are the pools and where are they located in relation to Kidani Village. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. How are the buses to the parks from this resort??
Thanks and have a great day!

Hello and Welcome! I've been a member since 2004 as well, BWV is my home resort and I totally understand why you enjoy the convenience of staying there. I hope Simbasmom sees your post, she is one of our resident AKV experts. Denlo and wdrl have been there too, as have a number of our members. I am sure someone will reply with some suggestions for you.

Welcome, we own at AKV so have stayed there a number of times. I really like Kiidani, know this is strange but the rooms seem larger to me. Your grandsons will love the play area by the pool at Kidani it is a nice size and has many things to keep them busy. The one draw back is food - there is no QS there, you have to go to Jambo for most food offerings and it can be quite a hike, depending on where your room is located. Would suggest that you have groceries delivered or if you are driving to bring food with you.

But again I really do like Kadani and think you will have a wonderful trip.

Welcome to DVC News. The pool at Kidani is a zero entry and as Minne's Friend said the water play is great for kids of all ages. One section is specially designed for toddlers.

And if you want to go to Jambo House you can take a shuttle or a theme park bus. Pushing a stroller between the two buildings would be pretty easy as the ground is flat, but there isn't any shade, so it would be hot during the summer. I think your DGs will love seeing the animals.

The pool at Jambo House is near the quick service, Mara. There's nothing designed for toddlers at that pool to my knowledge.

I can't believe you are going to entice her with the toddler pool and not show her the rest of the kids play areas....

These were taken to show my sister the pool area prior to a family trip in 2011. Don't think they have changed anything since. FYI, the nephews had a blast at the pool.

In the interest of unbiased reporting, here is a panoramic shot of the Jambo pool so you can compare both offerings.

The "Zero Entry" for the Uzuma pool would be middle of the picture (on the far left) and as mentioned earlier, Mara (for snacks and QS meals) is 30 feet away.

Does anyone know if there a separate kiddie pool at Jambo House since it doesn't have a zero entry? I always thought Disney did away with the kiddie pools when they started to build pools with a zero entry. But after looking at Dan's panorama of the Jambo House pool I don't remember a zero entry there and I don't remember a kiddie pool either. I know there's a jacuzzi. I just can't remember.

I still think the pool at Jambo House is prettier than the one at Kidani though.

According to Allears the jambo house pool is shared with AKL. Here are pics of the pools, including one that says it's for kiddies:

Thanks for the kiddie pool photo Mar'. It looks like there might be a zero entry and a kiddie pool. It looks like the kiddie might be in the shade now with the growth of the trees when I look at a satellite map. So maybe that's now I missed it.

One thing that is a mixed blessing at Jambo House is that there is plenty of chairs/loungers and even in the shade. But many of them don't have any view of pool. It's sort of hard to watch the kiddos if you can't see the pool from your lounge chair.

No Denise, you aren't looking at the right picture.
The zero entry (ramp) is part of the main pool and is defined by the 2 monoliths about 10 paces from the pool bar. Here is a link to that picture.
