Anyone with experience with online check-in for multiple rooms. We are doing 3 x 2BR plus 1 x Studio in December and I wonder if we should wait until we get there so we get to be closer together.

I've done quite a few reservations of two studios, both calling in and on the webpage. If you reserve them together they cross reference them, so even though each room has a different reservation number they know. It doesn't always mean you'll be together, but they'll get as close as they can. The worst I've done is where they've been "down the hall" at SSR. At both VWL and AKL they were ideal, directly across the hall from each other. (This was really great for AKL, as we then had access to two different savannas.)
Your challenge is going to be the 2BRs, they aren't exactly "together" in any property, getting the same floor and wing will probably be as good as it gets. Look at a map of where you are staying and see if there is a building, wing, or floor that you think might work best for you and be sure make the request, you just might get it!Last edited by twoehr; 07-27-2012 at 07:36 AM.

You could ask to be labeled as a grand gathering, then the grand gathering folks assign the rooms. You don't have to do any of the grand gathering activities. The requirement is that you have 8 or more in your group. We did this in 2009 and it helped us get rooms for our three families near each other, but that was not at a DVC resort. But I've been told DVC resorts are handled in the same manner. They will also arrange ADRs for the group if you want.
