C'mon waitlist!

Whenever I've waitlisted, it's come through for me within at most a month. But now I've been on 2 waitlists for 3 1/2 months. Hurry up, already! And what probably irks me the most is that one waitlist is entirely my fault. A few days before the 7 month window I called to change our studio at BCV to a 1 BR. Found out we'd have to borrow a few points. Oh, no-we don't want to borrow, and it's only a few more days until 7 months, then I can use all our points. Of course, in that few days, the 1 BRs booked up, so now I sit on a waitlist. Hurry up-a 1 BR would be such a treat!
My other waitlist is for a value studio at AKV-I perfectly understand that one. But I want it.

I totally understand! I'm currently on the waitlist for an HC 1 Bedroom @ BWV. Have BCV now which is GREAT really but BWV standard view is 40 points cheaper and I'd love the extra points for my birthday trip next yr. Here's hoping!

I don't go uber busy times (April & October), but I have yet to NOT have a waitlist come through. I have waitlisted 5 times and each time it was successful. However it varied from time to time. It's come through in as little as a few days after listing, and once it was about 10 days prior to the actual trip.

I understand your angst Dorothy. I was convinced the waitlist that came through 10 days out was not going to happen and I admit to obssessing about it on a daily basis. But it did (much to my surprise at that point). I hope yours is a success story too! Here's a bunch of pixie dust for you and Allison in hopes of you both getting good news soon.

Nov 29th to Dec 6th.. MK or Lake view... we figured if we didn't get those views, we would rather keep our savannah view at Kidani.

Your existing ressie is a nice one if BLT waitlist doesn't come through. I guess you know that's a busy time for DVC due to the low points and the holiday happenings. But you never know it could happen, best of luck!

Good luck with the waitlist Dorothy. Some people do keep their reservations until 31 days before the reservation date even though they know it's highly unlikely they will keep it, so it's still possible someone will cancel their reservations. Or maybe you should start calling MS like so many do on the Disboards. It seems to work for many that the desired villa can be found that way. Good luck.
