Wow! That all looks so cool but so much information that can be changed in process and it can be changed as time passes by... that would be awesome if Disney were to build a third park in DL. I like the ideas that they have come out with but like Tim says it is a costly and time taking project!

A couple more things to note: The 53 acre parcel does not include the adjacent Cast Member lot which will also be enveloped into the third theme park when it does come to that.

If you look at the map that was posted, north of Disney Way is the Pumbaa parking lot. Supposedly, Disney has purchased up land surrounding this lot to build a new parking structure to border the east side of the property. Either way, the Pumba lot is where Disney has been eyeing the next structure to bring parking closer to what will be the next park but still next to the existing parks.

For even MORE fun, don't forget the official page that Disney put up in the early 2000s at thirdthemepark.com that outlined a long term strategic plan for the Anaheim Resort area. It shows the Strawberry Fields developed as a third gate and the new parking structure at Pumbaa. Here is an old copy from the Wayback Machine:

First of all, yes, this was an official page put up by Disney...not a fake. But the reason for posting it was 100% political to influence the city of Anaheim on a few key political decisions at the time. The content was totally theoretical and blue sky...but it shows the thoughts at the time!

Wow, I remember that page! What might have been...

Needless to say, Disneyland Paris' financial woes had lasting effects at all the parks that followed.

Interesting articles. If Disney keeps closing parking lots for more gates, they are sure going to need to building a big parking garage.
