I bought into akv because that is my second favorite resort... But I like ssr! It's a big resort, nice rooms, spacey rooms, nice themed all around and very clean with great access to DTD which is great to relax!
My favorite resort is WL because of the theme, views from the resort, restaurants and distance to MK.

How mature does it have to be before you find this attractive?
Looks pretty soothing to me.

Why would anyone not enjoy a walk on the bridges?
I couldn't agree more Amy.
This grandpa likes his morning (and evening) walks around the property too.

Here's a perfect example of why...

Dan, dchubirk, thank you for posting the beautiful photos of SSR. It really has brought up my excitement level from an six to a nine, and we still have 36 days until we are at SSR! I looking forward to walking around the resort daily.

So glad more folks who have a passion for SSR chimed in! Those pics are GREAT and really detail the feel I (and Grandpa) love. Really, where else can you still be at your resort and just spread out and stroll - no confinement at all with such a view - a real relaxing, beautiful spot.

We bought at SSR and we are very glad we did. We were standing near the water at DTD and my husband looked across and commented how he could just picture us sitting on the balcony enjoying the views of the resort and DTD at night. I told him I felt the same way about that resort. We love going to DTD so it's perfect for us. We'll be going there for the first time this October and taking a bus doesn't bother us at all. My daughter and family will be coming down with us next spring and she was all excited about being close to DTD, too, so we booked it again. Having never stayed there, I'm not sure if the grandkids would enjoy OKW better than SSR or if they are equal in what they offer for families with children.

Congrats on buying SSR! We got to stay in a GV overlooking DTD, and it was quite magical to see from our window. We have stayed at SSR and OKW with kids, and they were both nice. But I would say we preferred SSR due to the "access" to DTD. As I mentioned above, we like having a place to walk to rather than just staying within the confines of the resort. OKW is nice and relaxing, but contained. And both have a good assortment of on-site activities - enjoy!

Proud owners and lovers of SSR. It is a treasure to us. We love the "far away" feeling, the beautiful landscaping, park at our door (we always have a car), the convenience to DTD, and off property fun. Some of the best running routes I have found.
It's Mr. Roz's most favorite place to stay, and he always pouts for a few minutes if I tell him we are staying anywhere else. It's home to us. The haters can stay away, more room for us lovers at last minute!

we are also ssr owners and love the resort.
Last vaction we stayed at akv, bcv and ssr,
of course loved bcv, wasn't as crazy about akv loved ssr, oldest two of teh 4 girls, 18 & 16 said ssr grew on them, but compared to two value or moderate hotel rooms they wouldn't complain about any ot the dvc resorts
