Had to cancel a trip today!

And I shouldn't be sad, but I am. Guy was planning to run the Goofy challenge in January, but as you may know he had hernia surgery about 6 weeks ago. Based on what the doctor said beforehand I'd booked the hotel already. Well, I think doctors don't tell you how bad things will be-"Oh, it'll be sore for a few days". A few days? Now the doctor admits "Well, it was bigger than we thought" and Guy's only recently walking daily, not yet running again. And wait-he's not even back to golfing

I shouldn't be sad-everything went well, we're all healthy, and now we can use those points for our anniversary trip in April (if we'd gone for the Goofy, it would have used up all our 2012 points. But cancelling a trip to WDW....it seems wrong, somehow.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip. I know this is a minor consolation, but at least now you can have the fun of planning another trip. Do you think you'll try to get into HHI in April, or will you try for WDW?

Sorry to hear that you had to cancel your trip in January(? Is that when the goofy is run?). I'm feeling for you Dorothy.

I hope Guy's recovery continues to go well even if is slow.

We went to HHI in April of 2011, because our anniversary coincided with Easter and WDW DVC had holiday point values. Yet, surprisingly, eve though I love HHI, WDW is the place to be for our anniversary. I think that's partially because it's where we've celebrated about 6-7 anniversaries. Denise, I don't know how you did it, cancelling a trip is such a bummer. And like I said, at least in our case, everyone's healthy.
Hey, Ken, maybe I can convince Guy to go to HHI in January. Won't you and Millie be there for a few days then?
