Has anybody heard any specific dates about she "Be Our Guest"will start taking reservations?

We heard around the holidays.. but nothing more specific.

Any info would be appreciated.

Disney has not announced an actual date, just the Holidays timeframe.

Rumors have been running rampant on various sites with people who all somehow have Cast Member inside sources. A popular one has Be Our Guest opening in October with reservations starting in August. Another rumor has it opening a week before Thanksgiving with reservations opening at some point in September. And the last rumor I saw has it still at some point during the "holiday" season but that as soon as they announce the opening, the reservations would start immediately. In my opinion we have to take all of them with a grain of salt until we start seeing significant finishing work on that entire area. I couldn't see Disney opening a restaurant up for reservations unless they were 100% sure that the area would be done in time.

It was reported last week on the Disney Parks Blog that Be Our Guest Restaurant would be opening Holidays 2012. It was part of the announcements for openings of the Fantasyland Expansion. Ha... I wonder if they do test runs before they open.. If anybody is listening.. I volunteer my family as test diners!! I'll even pay for it!! HAHA..

You know, actually when Yak and Yeti opened, I forget the exact date they had announced when they'd start taking reservations (I know it was sometime in December of 2007). Well, on a whim, I called about a week beforehand, because I happened to be in WDW at the time. Surprisingly, they took my reservation and I ate at Yak and Yeti 6 days before the announced opening of reservations.
For Be Our Guest, I hope "Holidays" means before Halloween. I'll be at WDW for Halloween and would love to eat at BOG then. The CS part during the day would be fine with me.

I'll be at WDW in October and November as well and am anxiously awaiting to hear when Be Our Guest is opening. I'm hoping at least for November since I have ADR's for every night I'm there in October.

I hope they do have a soft opening like Dorothy (simbasmom) mentioned for Yak & Yeti. Of course, we run the risk that problems could pop up, but that still could be a unique experience.

BTW is that area still walled off from the public? I imagine that when the walls come down I'll be checking the dining online website for BOG and perhaps calling the dining line to see if reservations are being accepted.

And yes, Dorothy, even eating at the QS for lunch would make me happy.
