As an appetizer, we're spending tomorrow evening in Anaheim.
Checking in at a favorite dive, Eden Roc Inn, early dinner and drinks at Trader Sam's, then off to the Angels-Rangers game.

Then the main course.
Leave for LAX Sunday morning.

Yes we have started packing slowly but surely. Friday we took off work to get all the last minute things done like packing, cutting grass, last minute store trips, etc, etc, etc. I had a very hard time sleeping last night and suspect the next 3 nights will only get worse.

In 12 hours we will be heading to the airport to start a VERYYYYYYY long day. All worth it in the end. We take a short flight to Chicago where we meet up with my sister and her family and then the 8 of us fly straight into Honolulu, little over 9 hours on that leg. As some of you who are FB friends know our 7 yo DD fractured in her ankle growth plate area on Wednesday. They could not be absolutely positive because of the swelling so she is in a half cast with instructions to keep off of it. There is an Air Force base on Oahu so they told us to take her there to follow up and get additional x rays next week once the swelling is down to verify the fracture. Really sucks because she will be restricted with what she can do. She has been watching videos and looking at pictures of the water areas and the water slides for months. She will be able to swim but not hit the slides, and the beach will likely be difficult to walk on with crutches. We have the beach party with Chip and Dale booked, but I will have to talk to the Aunty's when we get there to see if they will be able to accommodate her on crutches. We got a wheel chair for her to help some when we will walk a lot, and some of the beaches do have beach wheel chairs. Aulani is not one of them. There are local companies that rent them by the week and we will see how things go before we fork out that money. Anyway, I'll post her from time to time over the next couple weeks and try to figure the picture posting tricks as well so I can put some up from time to time. We have a 2 BR SV for 12 nights so I am interested what that will get us.

Sorry about your DD's injury. I hope it's not as bad as they first thought. I guess you are retired military since you'll be taking her to the Air Force Base hospital. I'm impressed that she'll be able to get her cast wet. Things have improved so much in that area.

Hope you have an excellent flight and you get into your room right away at Aulani. Looking forward to anything you can post.

Well seeing as not many people have used this thread maybe a little bump will help.

3 days till my cruise on the Magic. Also if I pay for internet there will be a semi live trip report or just one long one when I get home sunday.
