My mother insists her teapot (tea kettle?), when it whistles, sounds just like the WDW railroad. She bought it at the Island Mercantile, in AK, near Discovery Island. All I remember about her description was that it was black, but Ebay shows two Mickey-type black tea pots. Unfortunately, while both whistle, neither claims it sounds just like the railroad. But then again, Mom's very hard of hearing, so who knows what it really sounds like! Anyone know this teapot from Island Mercantile?

Is it this tea kettle, Dorothy? http://www.disneystore.com/disney-pa...53796/1000352/

The description says it whistles but that's all. Sorry I won't be there until after you are back in October (November for me).

I couldn't see any link to the ebay tea kettles.

We have one almost identical, except ours is white with Mickey head artwork.

Yes, the whistle sounded just like the train. At least for the first few weeks. The whistle mechanism stopped working about a month after we bought it.

I know this is a long shot, but do you remember where you bought it? Mom said that she didn't see that style anywhere but that store in AK. That one you posted, Denise, is very cute-is that it? This is one of those times when I wish Mom was in the modern age, technilogically, had a digital camera and could send me a picture. Otherwise, gee heck, I guess I'll just have to go to AK in October. Not like I want to.

I know what sacrifice it will be for you Dorothy, you'll just have force yourself to visit AK park.
