Two WDW related NY Events!

I will be going to the Doorway to Dreams DVC 20th anniversary celebration with my daughters on June 2. It's at a hotel In Garden City, Long Island, very close to where the Doorway to Dreams is located in the Roosevelt Field Mall. They have free food/beverages, characters and dancing. I went there when they had the Grand Opening and it was awesome.

A week later Lou Mongello is having a WDW radio meet up in NYC. We are meeting in a park and having lunch (we pay for ourselves) and then walking over to TDS in Times Square. Lou is a honey, I've met him (and his kids and DW) before and his meets are always a lot of fun.

If anyone else lives close to manhattan and wants to join in the WDW radio meet up let me know, there is room for everyone. Unfortunately the DVC thing was "sold out" (it's free but you had to reserve) in five hours. I was lucky enough to get the email in time to reserve our spots.

So this is very cool, two WDW events right in my own backyard, and only a week apart! Yay!!

I do feel fortunate to live 15 minutes from the Doorway to Dreams. They do events fairly often, although this one is more exciting than the average one they have there. The Lou Mongello thing is a first I think, or at least it is for me. He is doing some sort of blog thing up here, and decided while he was in town he'd have a WDW radio meet.

That's really cool. If we can afford some metro north tickets we may just have to come in for the Mongello meet up. I also assume that the meet up is June 9th?

Yes that's right Doug. If you need more info shoot me a PM and I'll be more than happy to share the details. The Park meet up is at 10:30 AM and TDS meet up is 12:30 PM.
