Welcome Muppet of a Man/Mike! Love the name neighbor (as in the N/NW burbs sense and in the AKV sense).
Yes, "Chicagoland" is much easier than specifying sometimes (I still have friends that really think the WI border is Lake-Cook Rd...aii.)
And you're not the only ones that keep it quiet. Most people I work with don't get it either (but they all have FL timeshares and regular trips to their cabins in the UP, eh?).![]()

Hey, I've done that in three cities, Kansas City, Denver and now do it for Houston as there are so many suburbs within a 100 mile radius that you get blank looks from people that don't know the area, until someone replies they lived in my area before. For awhile I even used it on my profile, but realize my trip reports were confusing people that knew Houston, since we live 35 miles south of Houston proper.

Congratulations on passing ROFR!
Love Chicagoland, too. Family is from there and many still there - another second home for me.
It really is great to finally connect with Disney lovers too. It is so incomprehensible to me that so many people think it is so crazy - and talking to them is such a buzzkill! : )
So, it is nice to connect with some beautiful people who share the love - welcome!
