We actually canceled our 2013 cruise to get out to DL. DCA expansion was the reason. Some day we will get back to planning a tripod Fantasy.

Ah, when will you be in DL, Dan? We'll be there February 20th-24th.

We are planning to go to DL in June. DD always has a dance variety show in June so we are waiting on a schedule to nail down the week. Should know that very soon. Going to try for GCV ressie at 7 months. Might be tough though.

Recommended Excursions on Fantasy Western Caribbean Cruise

My family just returned from Fantasy Cruise Western Caribbean Itinerary (2 children ages 11 and 9). What a fantastic trip! We did excursions in each port and loved each one. In Grand Cayman we did Discovery Cove Dolphin Excursion (push/pull). This was a bit expensive but worth every penny...organized with no wasted time waiting around. People were helpful and the dolphin push/pull was something we will never forget. In Costa Maya we visited the Chacchoban ruins on the Costa Maya. This started out slow with a half hour ride to the site. Once we moved from the first ruin, through the trees (which was absolutely beautiful), to a clearing; there were many ruins...very interesting and beautiful. In Cozumel we did the Buggy Ride/Snorkeling excursion...ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! We highly recommend this excursion and you get so much for your money. It begins with a walk from port to the parking lot with all the dune buggies. You follow your guides to a beautiful state park where you receive your snorkeling gear and go snorkeling with guides that are helpful and patient with the children. From there, you get back in the buggies, head to a beach where you are served an authentic Mexican lunch...delicious! Our guides Nacho and Carlos were so wonderful bringing a pinata for the kids to take turns pounding while they sang a traditional Mexican chant. We spent an hour there then back in buggies to lighthouse with beautiful aqua beach. We lounged on hammocks here...absolutely breathtaking. Ride back also includes a stop at a Mayan weather station ruin and alligator park before you return back to port. This was a fantastic excursion with so much more than described. It sounds like a lot but was leisurely...dune buggies were so fun too and a great value for the money!

Thank you very much for the great info!
We were thinking of doing the ruins in Costa Maya AND Cozumel, but now may have to change our plans, as that Buggy Ride/Snorkeling excursion sounds too good to pass up!

My kids and parents did the ruins in Costa Maya and thought it was great.

I wish I had another cruise planned, I was looking at the dates and cruises yesterday. Just can't afford it right now, very jealous.
