Sailing on The Fantasy –

Just booked a cash reservation for a 7 night cruise on Disney Fantasy sailing on May 25, 2013. Going to Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel, a couple days at sea, and of course one of favorites Castaway Cay. We have only cruised one other time and that was a 3 nights on Disney Dream. It was WAY too short so 7 nights ought to do us good.

I am sooooo psyched. I just booked the Fantasy for July 20, 2013 to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary. We too will also be sailing the that itinerary (Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Castaway Cay).
What excursions are you looking at? Besides my Hubby and I... it will be my DD 12 and DS 18 so we are looking at some of the more active ones like snuba and waverunners. I want to shop in Cozumel so we will likely check out the Chacchoban ruins on the Costa Maya stop rather than Tulum ...which I would prefer as Tulum looks absolutely beautiful... but not at the expense of cheap silver and tequilia...

We haven't looked at any of the excursions as of yet. We have been focusing on planning our June Aulani trip. Sounds like you have some great plans though. As our plans come together we will post here.

Disney Cruise –

Has anyone been on a Disney Cruise with children under 10? I watched the planning video and saw all the wonderful activities geared just for children. Are these age-appropriate activities free or is there an additional charge?

Our children were 6 and 3 when we went on the Dream. They loved, loved, loved it!!! The kids clubs are free on the ship. With ours, it was very difficult to get them out of the kids clubs when it was time to pick them up. We also did some character meets as well, free. Of course water areas and pools are free. We also did the interactive game with cards the art work and that was free. I can't remember what the name of it was on the Dream. On the Fantasy it is a Muppet adventure. We were only on a 3 night cruise so that is all we really got to do on ship. I think the Arcade, which we did not do, is pay as you play. On the Fantasy they have the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (sp) and that is not free. Even the dinners during the rotating dinning where fun for the kids, and us.
Of course there are excursions you can book with the lids and those are not free.
We are not cruising experts, (only been on 1), but hope this helpsDan

Disney Cruise –

Thanks, Dan, for this info. The Oceaneer’s Club and Lab are intended for children 3 – 12 years old. I know you drop them off so I thought there would be an additional babysitting charge. I do understand that the nursery charges $6/hr. but that is for babies and toddlers up to age 3.

Our 3 yo was potty trained so he only went to oceaneer. Glad for that cause I didn't know it was a charge.

We're on that cruise too. But we're Eagles fans.
