We are trying to decide if the dining plan will be worth it or not for our family. We have 3 adults and 4 children, staying in one room, but well be traveling with another family of 6. I wondered if anyone knows if we could share our counter services, if we were to get the counter service dining. Can they track who we are getting the meal for? In the past, they did not separate whether we were buying an adult of childs counter service. Is this still the case? Trying to decide if the dining plan is beneficial.

Official policy is you can't purchase a meal using credits for someone who is not on the plan associated with your reservation. If you have 7 people signed up for the plan, you can't purchase more than 7 meals in a single transaction.

Here's a link the PDF for the Quick Service Dining Plan. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/med...ickService.pdf

Two sections stand out regarding your questions.

    Redeeming Your Meals
Present your Key to the World card to the server or cashier at the time a meal or snack is purchased and specify the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Guests ages 10+ on your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Guests ages 3-9 on your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan.
Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available.

    Using Your Meals
You can redeem more than your allotted meals and snacks per day, if you wish, until your total is depleted.
I've always read that you cannot share your DP meals with others not on your reservation. But if you can use all of your meals in one day, how would they know?

We are family of 3,2adults and 1child...we normally get deluxe dining but during our last trip we felt it was too much food..Is it possible that my party is 2 adult and 1 child but I will only purchase 1 adult and 1 child deluxe dining plan?( you must be thinking/asking why not just get 2 adult 1 child dining plan..because of the cost..I think I can save more on getting the 1adult 1child deluxe dining-me and my husband will share on the adult credit..that is if possible..)Sorry if this is a dumb question but I need to know the answer..thanks again

You have to purchase the plan for all persons ages 3 and older that are on the room reservation.
