So yesterday being a Good Samaretan, I tore my calf muscle. No doubt about it, tore not pulled. Heard it, felt it happen. After it happened we continued on to Kimono's for dinner & than wine walked the entire WS (Evening Extra Magic Hours). Got home around midnight, leg not feeling to good. did some google research. Based on a Stage 1, Stage 2 & Stage 3 discription, I'm somewhare in the 2.5 range. Also realized I didn't do any of the RICE technique for after injury first aid.

So I ate some Aleve, did sleep with my leg elevated and this morning hot tub'ed it. To late for ice, swelling already occurred. Figure heat needed now, opens up the vessels for swelling fluids to recede.

I don't want to sit around & let the muscle tighten up, that just makes it worse when I do need to work. Pretty much I'm subscribing to the "just walk it off" advice my dad always gave me. Any other words of advice from runners with similar experience?

Ok....off to Fort Wilderness, time for lunch at Trails End. May just have to try this: Slow-cooked Dixie Butter Bean and Vegetable "Crock Pie" - with Market Vegetables and fresh Herbs $14.99

Just Kidding.

Mine is "America's Next Top Model". I'm not sure why-it's a train wreck. I think it's so funny to see all those skinny, pretty teenaged girls who think they can be famous, but they're B****ches to everyone else. One time on an airplane, I got upgraded to first class and spent the entire plane ride watching reruns of "America's Next Top Model." There's a new season starting soon, supposedly-can't wait! So what's your guilty pleasure TV show?
