going to VERO instead!

Kids are getting Disney'd out (shame on them!) and we have never visited Vero.

I currently have a 2 bed standard for 4 nights end of April. for 2 points more I can get 5 nites at VB.

Thinking the kids would have a blast at the Ocean but I'm worried that I would have Disney withdrawals :boohoohoo:.

I know Zipadeedodah about Vero and about :embarassed:renting a car/how to even get there!

Hoping for my DVCNews friends to fill me in on Vero. I will have my kids (22, 18 and a 9 yr. old) with me.

TIA! :goodvibes:

VB is nice, but the pace is v e r y s l o w.

We did nine nights there - too long. Oddest part for me was when we would leave the resort, we were no longer in VacationLand, just simply in another town where everyday life was happening. When you are in WDW and even the surrounding area ( I-Drive, Irlo Bronson, Sand Lake, etc ) you are always on vacation and the people around you are either also on vacation or working in the vacation industry.

Hi, I just posted an article on VB about 2 weeks ago on this site. You should be able to retrieve it. I am also going to post another article next week which includes the area restaurants and activities. This will give you many ideas about what to do outside of the resort. Also, I am going to do the Kayak adventure tour thru VB, which is actually held close by in the Indian river. This would be a great activity with your children's age groups. I think the resort provides transportation to it, not for sure but will be finding out. So look for my article next week.....there are plenty of activities for the kids. :goodvibes: My first article provides directions, and I am going in August, so if you need any rental car tips or anything, let me know.
