How to use DVC points for a cruise 24 months out

So, we just got back from a week at BLT and had a blast. We were thinking we'd skip next year and try for a Disney Cruise in June of 2013. It's about 600 points, so we'd have to bank 2012 and borrow from 2014. The question I have is how do I make the reservation for 20 months out using points that won't be available for banking or borrowing until March of 2013? If we wait until then, there's no way there'll be any cabins left that we can afford if at all.

Does Disney take our reservation allowing for the future intention of using the banked and borrowed points available in March 2013?

I believe so. The dates allowed for reservations are displayed as being different for a cruise than they are for DVC resorts. You can always call Member Services to make sure; I've never actually tried doing any exchange except for developer points at the Grand Cal Hotel before VGC was built...

For some reason they treat cruises differently and I have been able to borrow and bank earlier than what is allowed for WDW. I want to book a cruise for spring 2013 but I don't know the dates of the cruises yet. Have they been released?
