The Disneyland Hotel is frequently the subject of rumors suggesting an eventual Disney Vacation Club addition.? It is one of only three Disney-owned hotels in Anaheim.? Following the 2009 expansion to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel stands as a logical destination for Disney's timeshare program.

Well I think the DVC really needs to consider adding rooms somewhere at DLR. The VGC are just too few. I would think the points per night would need to be lower to attract people to the DL Hotel though because it's not as good of a location and second the rooms will probably be smaller than VGC.

If they make a DVC addition to DLH I'll probably try and stay there once @ 7 months so I can try the monorail slides and eventually stay @ all the DVC resorts. However, I can't see me preferring it over VGC in general. At only 50 2BREs it is just so small I think there is probably plenty of demand, especially for people stopping in CA on their way to or from Aulani! I'm also on board with the decor in the new hotel rooms; that blue carpet & Mickey fixtures are a nice small touch and fireworks headboards are just AWESOME! :thumbsup2:

When I was there a couple weeks ago, I tried to find any "evidence" of DVC being added. There wasn't anything obvious. The hotel map did have a large construction area that said it was going to be a grass area. It was on the far side of the property (as far away from the parks as it could get). I thought it was a very odd thing to have, but didn't ask anyone about it. Long ago, that area had a pool with a sandy beach and a stage area for an evening water show. I'm hoping that they have something as cool or cooler than what used to be there.

Thank you for the pictures! The renovations look amazing. I can't wait to go back.
We stayed there in 2005 and loved it then even though the hotel was certainly showing it's age. Going back now we'll fall in love with it all over again. I too am looking forward to the monorail slides. :w00t:

We stayed there the evenings of Oct 5 & 6th and weren't bothered by the construction at all. In fact, outside of the construction walls around the pool, we only heard noise when checking into the lobby. The Adventure Tower is completely done so if you don't want to be near the construction maybe ask for that tower. :)

I can't imagine it won't happen at some point.
And you're correct, the points/night would certainly need to be lower than the VGC's.
The rumor has been a DVC building would be located where the little used maintenance road is located between the ESPN Zone and the front DLH Fantasy building. Not a huge area, but big enough for a small tower. And perfectly located for quick access to Downtown Disney.
I'm waiting patiently for an announcement.:listen:

We would LOVE for the rumor to be true ASAP!!! Crossing fingers, toes etc... !!! Us Southern Cali locals would relish to have choices of DVC's to stay at!! Although we can stay at the hotels but it is just that - hotels! The luxury of a villa cannot be beat for those who try to stay on a budget!

Well.. I have no clear idea about the price of rooms and other services of DisneyLand Hotel. As I am planning to visit DisneyLand next month with my wife and 2 children so I want information about price and other things of this hotel.
Our site is geared towards Disney Vacation Club information. Disneyland Hotel has a site with the information you are looking for, it is here: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland-hotel/?name=DisneylandHotelRatesListingPage

My previous post back in March was about using DVC Points for reservations at the 3 Disney Hotels on property ( Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel & just added back on - The Grand Californian Hotel) due to being a Disney Vacation Club member. :) As for the prices of cash reservations you need to go directly to the Disneyland website.
