I need some suggestions from veteran planners.

Upcoming trip from November 26th thru Dec. 3. I have split the trip up. The first 4 days is just DH, DD and myself. Next 3 days I have my mother coming in by herself. Trip is split into 2 reservations because I am going from a 1 bedroom(first reservation) to 2 bedroom(second reservation), but the 2 bedroom doesn't start until Nov 30th and my mother is coming in on Nov. 29.

Here's my dilemma: I don't want to start my mother's dining plan until November 30th, but if she is on first reservation, I have to pay for her dining plan for full stay. If she's not on the first reservation, I can't get the Magical Express Service for her.

She is already stressed out about the idea of traveling alone, but I assured her that once she got to MCO, it would be a breeze. Now she is going to have to pick up her luggage and deal with transportation issues. I tried changing the reservation and start the 2 bedroom on 29th, but nothing available.

Any suggestions about getting her to Boardwalk easily or anyone know of any loopholes that I am not thinking of?:oweye:

Cheapest way out would be to book a room at Pop for the 29th so she can use ME, but never stay there.

If you have an AP, the value room discount is 25%. And since you mother will be arriving on a Wednesday you might be able to use it to book a value room for the one night. Or -

You could rent a car and pick her up at the airport. You could pick up a car at the Dolphin Hotel and when I checked before fees a compact runs around $32 per day. I think that would be cheaper than using a service to pick her up. Knowing you will pick her up might make her happier about flying alone. And just don't put her on your 1BR reservation. She won't have a key for one night, and you'll have to pay cash for her meals but hopefully that will be okay.
