3 different weather sites are saying next Monday, our arrival date, is going to be in the mid to upper 90s! Is California heat a "dry heat"?

Yeah Nick, we've got a heat spell coming in.
You arrive on the peak heat day, so it'll get cooler as your vacation moves on.
Out here in Palm Springs, they're calling for a 114 degree high on Monday.
Remember that, and Anaheim won't seem so bad.
And yes, California heat is nothing like Florida heat, very dry.
Even on the hot Monday, you may need a light jacket in the evening.

Accuweather is saying 101 degrees on Monday and Tuesday! I sure hope that isn't Accu-rate!
Has anyone been at DL in that kind of heat?!

Even though it is a very dry heat, it will be a little brutal especially after all the beautiful weather we have had. Just take is slow, enjoy the water rides. At least you will be able to breath in our heat :)

If it's going to be that hot, hit Matterhorn early. The line is mostly unshaded in the sun. There's no Fast Pass and usually at least a 15-20 minute late. Standing in the sun is no fun! And I'll second Jeff, definitely dry heat. Not bad at all. It was in the 80s when I was there 2 weeks ago, but I still needed a jacket and pants at night, definitely can cool off.
I do have to admit, even when swimming from ride to ride in WDW in 100 degree heat with 100% humidity, it doesn't seem that bad. I mean, you're in Disneyland/World. Life's pretty good. The key is to trick your body to kick into "Disney Mode" every time it's hot out and then you can always be :) and :yahoo:while sweatin' your tush off.
Have fun Nick!

Thanks for the info Tim and RR. I am starting to think I'm Disney weather hexed.
A brief breakdown:
2 trips to DL, both very rainy. Not so much it was a washout, but yikes.
Didn't get to see the fireworks because of high winds 1st trip, rain the next.
Last 3 trips to WDW: May 2009, record rain. October 2009, record heat, January 2010, record cold.
:confused24:
At least we are more acclimated to the heat after this Summer. It was 90 something today!
And of course you're right Tim, the weather won't seem as brutal at The Happiest Place on Earth!

You're right!
I can't complain, they all were terrific trips, and each experience just added a little something to the whole experience. More interesting, if not preferable, to just saying, "we had perfect weather".

Agree on the "interesting". And actually, as long as fireworks & other shows/parades aren't getting canceled because of it bad weather can be good since it may chase away some of the crowds...

The rain and the cold kept people away. The heat made the evenings very busy of course, especially during F&W.
