For the longest time, I didn't have to sign in here day to day, but now I do.
Did I inadvertently edit something?

Did you recently update your browser? I know a lot of people who updated to Explorer 8 and it changed their security settings to not remember previous passwords.

When you sign in make sure you check the remember me square and it will keep you logged in.

You may cleared your cookies, which is actually a good thing.

Tossing your cookies is completely different.
