Thoughts on DVCbyResale.com?

I've been chatting with folks at the Timeshare Store and they are AWESOME, but they don't have what I want at the moment. Does anyone have any experience with DVCbyResale.com? Are they as awesome, professional, reputable? There are just too many scams out there these days you can never be sure.

Yes, I would put DVC by Resale in the same class as The Timeshare Store in terms of knowledge of the DVC product. Definitely not a fly-by-night operation.

I've met Shontell a couple of times myself and know others who have had business dealings with her and have no complaints to share. :thumbsup2:

Sorry, but we just walked away from a deal with DVC by Resale because things were moving too slowly, and the sellers seemed to be balking at what I thought were already agreed upon issues. In retrospect, I'm not sure whether we were right, but our gut told us to discontinue, so we did. However, we dealt with the Timeshare Store on one contract and were very pleased with how smoothly it went. I've heard DVC by Resale might be better with contracts that have an appreciable # of points, but a few people have had very small purchases and been less than totally pleased. But the majority of people have been very pleased.

I know someone mentioned they weren't the best communicators. I believe I was informed of anything I needed to know (ROFR, closing details, etc). Whole process took 7 weeks total.

I backed out of a deal with GMAC because of outrageous closing costs, double what I paid with DVC by Resale.
