Disney Hotel Rankings on TripAdvisor

I was bored so I sorted through the tripadvisor ratings- here is how the resorts stacked up against each other based on customer satisfaction ratings. The \"Rank\" column compares how popular a resort is among the Disney Resorts, the \"Popularity\" number compares the resort against all Orlando resorts and hotels. http://dvcnews.com/images/fbfiles/images/DISRANKS.jpg

They still don\'t have AKV listed on tripadvisor- also to be fair- I am sure some people posted reviews and ratings in the wrong place- meaning- they stayed at Villas at Wilderness Lodge- but posted the review on the Wilderness Lodge record...

Also- Disney\'s Vero Beach resort is the 2nd most popular(of 22) resort in the Vero area.
Disney\'s Hilton Head Island Resort is the 1st most popular (of 35) resort on HHI.

So is that \"popularity\" number basically the results of the resort\'s ratings on Trip Advisor?

Last time I looked, I thought the Disney resorts all ranked higher overall, but perhaps that was a smaller sample size than all Orlando resorts.

Yes- the popularity is based on the number of stars that were given to a resort. So even though almost all of the DVCs have a user rating of 4 starts- that is based onX number of reviews so technically each onis 4.XX stars and that is how they are ranked. The Disney resorts do rank very high- there are about 300 hotels in the TA Orlando hotel list- and all but 2 of the Disney resorts were in the top 100.

You also have to think about how much a customers perceived value of their hotel choice plays into satisfaction- considering Disney hotels are all on the pricey side of Orlando hotel choices that works against them in the satisfaction ratings.
