DVC Community Loses Friend

Long time DISBoards member and Administrator Bill "Caskbill" Neth passed-away on June 11, 2009.
Bill was in the Florida area in early June when he experienced some health issues. Bill returned home to Indiana and his condition appeared to be improving. But last Thursday he suffered a massive heart attack and passed-away.
In addition to his work with the DIS, Bill was well-known in the DVC community as the author of a number of downloadable Vacation Club planning tools.
We at DVCNews.com send our heartfelt condolences to Bill's friends, family and colleagues. In Bill's memory, the DISBoards will be going dark today from 5 to 7pm eastern. Godspeed.

We met Bill at one of the first Merry Mixers. Neat guy.

:( I am so sad to hear this. I know people dont understand communities where you don't have to be close to someone to be effected by them. Bill was certainly a giver to us all by sharing his knowledge and trying to help guide DISBoards through some difficult times.

My heart hurts for his family and for his online family as well.

How very sad. I am so sorry for Bill's family. He has always been such a helpful "neighbor" and he will be missed.

Though I never met Bill personally I felt like I knew him due to his presence in the DVC community. The Planner he came up with is a tool I have used since I joined DVC. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

How sad! Bill went out of his way to help me implement the DVC Planner on my computer...there were issues with my screen settings and I just didn't "get it". He was very patient and a great guy. I am so sorry that he's gone. My sympathies to Bill's family.
