For lunch. Guy's playing at LBV one day, then we'll meet for lunch. We're staying at OKW, where we'll probably spend the afternoon. We've narrowed down our lunch choices to the Turf Club at SSR or Olivia's at OKW. Recommendations? And what food there would you recommend? BTW, he's only at LBV one day because every other day he's at a different golf course.

We have eaten at both places and enjoyed both. If it were me, I would lunch at Turf Club and ask to be seated out on the porch. It's the perfect time of year for that.

I say Olivia's and ask for the porch. ;) Seriously, I don't think you could go wrong at either location. :) For some reason Olivia's edges out TC for us, but the fried calamari at TC is great too. Mmmnn...

I go with less commuting: TC.

Can anyone comment on Oliva's for breakfast? Will be at SSR in June and thought we'd try is because TC doesn't offer breakfast.

My sisters and I did Olivia's for breakfast twice during our Oct. 07 trip and loved it. Their breakfast potatoes were awesome if you like scalloped potatoes.

Thanks for asking this-I was wondering too. And I appreciate everyone's recommendations, but when Guy got home, he said there was no question for him. He ate lunch at Olivia's once before, and wants to again.

Thank you for your response. Yes, we'll try the scalloped potatoes! That will be a hit with everyone! I also want to walk around the resort. Anything a must see?

We ate there for breakfast twice in October, and Donald Is #1 is correct...the breakfast potatoes were awesome; the best we've had anywhere in WDW. Olivia's puts out a really good breakfast.

Olivia's has never failed to underwelm me.
Price: poor value, especially now that they don't accept DiWL
Selection: Menu unimaginative. However, have seen some recent improvement.
Service: Staff never seemed interested.
Quality: Food prep was just average.

Never been to Turf Club.

I will agree with the comment about the staff. They were not very attentive. If DiWL is Tables in Wonderland, we used it last October at Olivia's.

It is.... and I swear there was discussion about the discount going away. I just checked, the discount does apply as of March 2009, so I stand corrected.

Maybe it was the DVC discount Olivia's dropped.

Take everything Viking just said about Olivia's and apply it to Turf Club. Well put.:viking:

According to the Portable Perks I picked up last month, Olivia has a 10% discount on all meals from January to June 2009.

Hi all -- I'm new here, but a long-time DVC member. OKW is our home resort, so we've been to Olivia's many times and it gets my vote. The breakfast potatoes are wonderful, I agree! We have not been to the TC yet, so I can't comment on that. Both have great locations. :)
