Hi everyone! Got back at 12:30AM this morning. (Yep was a late flight, left MCO at 10). I had a super trip, no complications except for a little rain the first day--which was fine because you weren\'t getting me out of that Walt Disney Suite even if the weather had been perfect.

I\'ll write a more thorough trip report when I get some more time/energy, but here is a link to the pics. I took way too many, believe it or not this is the culled down version. If you just want to check out the Walt Disney Suite at the GF and not bother with the rest, those are all at the beginning of the album. There are a few more on pages 7, 8 and 9 in the album.

******SPOILER ALERT*****:There are pics from the rehabbed Spaceship Earth on page 12 of the album. Don\'t look there if you want to be surprised by the changes on your next trip.

Note to Viking: While I did not take an entire towel from the GF to pop, I did take a washcloth. I took pics to compare it to the one from Pop. You\'ll have no trouble figuring out which is which. Oh and the GF has quilted toilet paper, took a comparison shot of that next to the stuff they give you at Pop, LOL.

Here\'s the link:

OMG how did you ever leave?

Some of the pics need an explanation.

How many bedrooms were there? I could not decide if there were two or three.
Talk about wild mismatched prints!!! Not sure I would have been able to close my eyes at night.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Can\'t wait to read all about it.

I know what you mean about it being confusing Kathy. I wish I could have lifted off the ceiling for an overhead shot but try as I might I couldn\'t make that happen.

Anyway there were two bedrooms, the one with the twin beds was mine. Although she tried to give it to me, as my friend was footing the bill I insisted she get the master bedroom.

There were 3 bathrooms--one per bedroom and an extra one. You walk into this huge entrance foyer. Straight ahead is the LR, \"my\" room was to the left, then a right and down the hall. The Master BR was to the right then a left and down the hall.

My room was fine, but not very big. The Master bedroom was very large, as was the master bath. There was even a little tv in the jacuzzi area! There was a gigantic walk in closet that was literally big enough for two adults to sleep in.

When I have more time later I\'ll caption the pics.

The pics were bolted to the walls. :)

You could not see wishes from the Suite, (but we went to the MK to see it that first night). Standing on the balcony, to the left our view was of the monorail and BTMM in the distance. There was a pool directly below us. To the right was the Polynesian and waaaaaay in the distance I could see the Swan/Dolphin as well as TOT.

I loved the flowers as well, would have taken them if there was a practical way to get them over to Pop. :silly1:

Thanks Laura, Athenna and Gail, glad you enjoyed the pictures. Yeah I did get lucky with the lion shots. First time I was ever able to get such close ups. I know you can\'t see it in any of hte pics but that male lion was standing over a female and ROARING as we went by. It was awesome!

Will try to get the trip report up soon, there\'s so much to tell! :)

Wow Mararoo! I am totally impressed by your lion shots. I have several with him laying down, but never standing up!! I don\'t think I\'ve ever even seen one of him standing up!! Way to GO!

Love the TP comparisons also, too funny, sounds like something I would do. I wonder how many people have stayed in the WD Suite one night, then the very next night POP??

Glad to hear you are going again in August, I would so go if I could. How am I ever going to survive 11 months without??? :silly1:

Thanks again for your pics, I really enjoyed them. :hug1:

Those are really good pictures! I\'ve always wondered what the Walt Disney suite looked like. I can not believe the difference between the TP at GF and the TP at Pop. That totally cracks me up! Talk about getting what you pay for! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The lion was standing there roaring?

I totally did not see that.
I looked at him and thought WTH, that is what I have looked like in the morning for the past three days.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I actually crawled out of bed yesterday and headed straight to the shower. There is no way I was going to let Ron see my hair the way it looked. It was a nursing home nightmare waiting to happen. Obviously my fever broke at some point during the night.

Mar\'-was there a fresh flower arrangement in every room? It seemed like it.

The Big Fig of Minnie on the horsie was not in your room, right?

I am struggling to keep your suite and the resort itself separate.

I laughed outloud at the pictures of the bird on the balcony. Reminded me of how many times I have walked by baby duckies in the parks and normally fathers saying, \"We traveled how many miles to watch ducks? We can do that at home\".

But my thought with your picture was the room cost how much and you are still down to earth enough to get a kick out of a bird. Priceless.

You mentioned the pictures were bolted to the walls. Was the framed one on the table bolted down too? I am assuming it was.

I\'m glad you liked my pictures DoraDoug.

It is really funny isn\'t it about the TP? Someone here (viking) made a joke on another thread about how I should take a towel with me from the GF to Pop to ease the transition. It made me think about the all the differences between the little things like that at the two resorts. So when I took the wash cloth I decided to take the TP too. And btw I suppose everyone knows that the soaps at the GF are fancy-schmancy too. Those took a journey home with me, should have taken a comparison pic of that too. I guess I still can, as I have plenty of the regular stuff on hand. :silly:

Too funny about your hair compared to the lion\'s mane Kathy. Been there done that, LOL! I avoid mirrors on those days. :)

I promise to write up a trip report with details soon, but I do want to asnwer your questions Kathy:
There were 3 flower arrangements. The roses in the living room, then a vase for my room and one for my friend Elaine\'s.

The minnie dressed like Mary Poppins on the carousel horse is on the concierge table (which was just down the hall from our room).

I love birds Kathy, so does Elaine. We\'re both avid backyard watchers and each of us has a slew of bird feeders. I was sitting on the balcony taking pictures of the monorail and the bird landed practically at my feet and then flew off! If I didn\'t have the camera out I would have missed it.

The framed picture that appears to be on a table is actually behind glass. I guess I could have broken the glass but I think they\'d have no trouble figuring out who the thief was. I bet Walt picture theft is frowned upon even more than stealing remote control batteries. :sheepdance:

Thanks for the kind words Pam, Carrie and Ginger. I\'ll get crackin on the report by the weekend. Too much catching up to do at work to concentrate on the report the way I\'d like to today and in the next couple of days my teaching schedule is full.

I can\'t wait to tell you all the details, mostly good but a couple not so good.

I had a few minutes so I added some titles to the pictures that I linked in my first post if anyone wants to check them out while waiting for me to get my trip report written.

So if I go to the world as often as you they\'ll add my picture to the ride as well?

Pretty cool.

Your guide didn\'t have them add your picture to an attraction? You need a new guide. :silly:
