View Full Version : SSR Pool Refurb Runs Long

Initially scheduled to run through March 27, refurbishment work at Saratoga Springs' High Rock Spring pool has been extended to run through March 30, 2009. During the refurbishment all Saratoga Springs guests are welcome to use any of the three Leisure Pool at the resort, or pool hop to Disney's Old Key West Resort. Disney Vacation Club members can also pool hop to other eligible resort pools.
The poolside activity program at Saratoga Springs has been shifted to another location and will continue during the refurbishment. Contact the resort's front desk for details.

dang is that why the slide was not working in Feb?

They did a refurb on the slide back in September but I'm not aware of anything that was scheduled in February. Could have been an unexpected issue.

I believe this month-long refurb is to resurface the bottom of the entire pool. It's been open for nearly 5 years now (May '04) and I believe this is the first scheduled refurb to impact the entire pool area.

Not exactly close, huh. :silly: At least when one of the MK resorts main pools close, the others are just a monorail or boat ride away, and the Epcot resorts are within walking distance.

Do you have your geography a little off?

SSR and OKW are right next to each other. The Lake Buena Vista Golf Course runs thru the two resorts. And there is a boat that visits both SSR and OKW.

I doubt that. maybe disney lost their sponsor for the slide.

Good point.

Goodyear probably figured that sponsoring a Slide wasn't their greatest marketing strategy.

:p But they are so big, it's not quite like walking from the GF to Poly, or from BC/YC to BW.
