So...I 'm trying to buy a resale at OKW with a December use year. My current contract is BWV with a February use year.
So, if I wanted to make a ressie using OKW points in Nov say of 2009, I'd have to borrow from my Dec 2009 points? And if for some reason I cancelled the NOv 2009 vaca in October, would I only have til Dec 1 to use the points????????????????
If you borrow, can you bank those points back to their original use year?

Yes you are correct.

Yes, you will need to use the points before 12/1.

Unfortunately, no you can't. Once you borrow the points, they stay in the UY that you borrowed into. So in your above example, if you borrowed '09 pts into your '08 UY, then the points would stay in the '08 UY and couldn't be banked.

Thanks! I never had to really think about it before cuz I had my points at the beginning of every year . This Dec use year is a mite weird...but of course I'm jumping the gun as I have to pass ROFR anyway.

No...Disney snatched it up . Then the resale salesperson asked if I wanted to leave my money with them in case something else came up...I said no, that I didn't need any more points, but only wanted to capitalize on a good buy.
For people interested in resale HH, SS and OKW I think there are some great deals out there in the 50's (for HH ) and 60's for OKW and 70's for SS.

I was taking a look at some of those cheaper OKW contracts. One is for 1,000 points!!! A few others were for 500 or more.
