Just called MS this morning at the 407# and got right through, no wait at all.:cheerleader:
So we check in on 12-18 for 5 nights @ AKV Kadina Village with a Savannah view studio. :yahoo::woohoodance:
No conceriage studio was available at the Jambo in a Studio. 1 BR only. Can I wait list of the studio and what are the chances of it comming avaiable, any thoughts???

Hey FFP! I moved your post to it's own thread, I was afraid it might get lost or not be seen in the other thread. :goodvibes:
(Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question)

Thanks for moving it! Maybe we should start a thread with the dates people are going for the holidays like the one we have for F&W. Any thoughts?

Sure, why not? Start away! :goodvibes:
Well, you got on the waitlist exactly 11 months out so that helps. You should be near or at the top.
Unfortunately the numbers don't work out so well for Concierge. There are only 5 lockoff two bedroom villas in the entire Concierge category. So the 5 Studio rooms can either be booked alone or as part of a Two Bedroom. For instance if the first two reservations to come in are for a Two Bedroom, that only leaves 3 remaining studios to be reserved.
So right now you are entirely dependent upon one of those 5 parties to cancel their trip...assuming you are first in line on the waitlist.

Go for it!

Yikes on the concierge! I'm hoping :fingerscrossed: to be able to stay concierge during a very busy time of the year. I plan on calling starting a few minutes before 9am on that first day, 11 mos out. I will take either studio or 1BR, but would prefer 1BR.
I know that the beginning of December is supposed to be a very busy time for DVC resorts, since the points are low and the Christmas celebration is going on. Was a concierge studio available for any of the dates? If you are willing, you could always book what is available and waitlist for the rest.

It's 11 months from check in day. If you want to be in the studio for new years eve you'd book it on 1/31. If you want new years day then 2/1 is your booking date.
It's 11 months from check in day. If you want to be in the studio for new years eve you'd book it on 1/31. If you want new years day then 2/1 is your booking date.
The problem comes when people are arriving earlier than you and book trips which include the night of 12/31. If the 5 studios are all booked with arrival days on or prior to 12/30, by the time you are able to call 11 months ahead of a 12/31 arrival they will already be gone.
With such a small class of rooms there really is not much that can be done. The good news is that SOMEONE will get those rooms every night of the year. So all hope is not lost. But when demand far exceeds supply, some will undoubtedly be left disappointed.
