Vent: No More Hold Music

One of the only--ok probably THE only nice thing about being on hold with MS was listening to the Disney theme park music while you're waiting. For some reason, that "perk" is no more. Now you just get silence, along with an annoying annoucement that is repeated over and over every few minutes (Please have your travel dates and member number ready, etc etc). With holds as long as they have been lately it's particularly annoying to have nothing pleasant to listen to while waiting. And I just hate hate hate that they play the same thing multiple times--and it's REALLY LOUD too, Grrrrr! :headbrickwall::mad::angry:

Did this just happen today? I've called multiple times this week, the last being yesterday afternoon, and had hold music everytime. It is definitely softer than the "your call will be answered by the next available blah blah blah" but it was still there.

Hmmmm MM, maybe it IS still there, but with my crummy hearing I have to turn up the volume on my phone to hear it? I never had that problem in the past, I was always able to hear the music. As it is, the annoying announcement is INCREDIBLY LOUD so I would imagine if I turn up the volume and I DO hear music, that the announcment will be ear-piercing. :(

I have to call soon to check on my wait list, so I'll see if I hear the music if I turn up the sound. Thanks for letting me know. :thumbsup2:

I'm with you! That annoying annoucement just makes me more annoyed. I wish that they would get rid of the announcement.

OK I stand corrected--sort of. The hold music is still there, I can hear it when I turn up the volume on my handset. But it is very hard for me to distinguish what's playing. In spite of having a hearing loss, I used to be able to hear exactly what was playing in the background music.

I think I figured it out. The stupid announcement they play repeatedly is SO LOUD it sucks all the volume out of the hold music.:silly:

I was only on hold for about ten minutes. The announcement was really annoying. I swear it came on every ten seconds.

I think all my music was from Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The last song that played was at normal level, and of course MS cut that one off when they answered the phone!

I also heared Hunchback of Notre Dame music like crazy! I also heard one of my favorite Tarzen and Toy Story songs. woot! woot! I only waited about 13mins.

does anyone think that DVC really has A lot more volume due to RCI?

My dad called on Saturday for make a reservation for Boma and got the music. He was on the dining line however....and was quite happy to go to his favorite resturant....
