Has anyone been to the Carving Station in Orlando, and would you recommend it? The location is just off Hotel Plaza Boulevard in Lake Buena Vista. The actual address is 8594 Palm Parkway. Here's their website:

If you've eaten there, what's it like?

39 views and no response. I guess I'll be the first to try this restaurant.

Rita, I've never eaten there but I have heard good things about it. I assume it's along the same lines as the Brazilian Steakhouses where "Gouchos" go table to table with meat on a stick & they slice you off portions.
By all means try it and post a review.
John ( OL ) is very familiar with the local restaurants. Have you asked over on his site ?

Ken, it looks like it might be a buffet, but also has a la carte items. So I don't think gauchos would be involved.
We won't be going to Orlando until late March (to see Paul Revere and the Raiders), so you'll have to wait for a review.

We are going down soon. Hubby would love this. I will see if we can go and give a review.

We are doing a Non-Disney vacation there in May, but staying at OKW so we'll see then. Friends of ours that live in the area say it's good, we are meatatarians so that fits our diet perfectly. Sounds alot like http://www.fogodechao.com/ which happens to be our favorite place to eat in Baltimore.

Rita, did you print out the 10% off coupon they offer on their website ?

We won't be going until late March, so there's plenty of time for me to print off the coupon. But maybe LLL should print one off.

This was a bust. I didn't drive over, but the online reservation system didn't work nor did they ever answer the phone. It also didn't have a message on it. The latest "events" are from August of this year, so I think they must have gone belly up.

The (Southwest) Rapid Rewards Dining Plan dumped the Carving Station (without notice) from the plan. Usually they indicate "leaving soon", so we're no longer interested in trying it out.
Now we're looking at Kahuna Grill.

I really don't think the Carving Station restaurant is there. They don't answer the phone and there is no message. The last update on their website is from August or Sept of last year. I think they went belly up and didn't pull their site (probably prepaid for a while).
