Last time I saw it this low was shortly after 9/11. What makes me nervous about the price is what major cost-cutting the theme parks might do. I remember when they closed POR for about 9 months because tourism was off so much. Didn't they also close POFQ for a period of time? And who can forget how they temporarily did away with early openings in favor of the character caravan visits to hotels. Any ideas what might happen to cut costs majorly? I see they're cutting the number of showings of Fantasmic-cost cutting? And they're only having the F&G Flower Power concerts on weekends. I have mixed feelings about that one. I noticed during the "Eat to the Beat" concert series that although the concerts were every night, they were generally less well-known bands, probably costing WDW less (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy excepted-I would have loved to see them!) I didn't even attend any of the 3 different bands that played when I was there-I'd never heard of them-that's never happened during the F&G festival. So does anyone have any ideas if anything else might happen?

They are only less well known because you are getting older.

The stock market had a rally today. I have 1600 shares of Disney stock in my IRA, and those 1600 shares went up $2,384.00 today. But the sad news is those 1600 shares are down $7,227.01 from when I bought them during the Eisner era.

A few years ago Disney stock was in the $12.60 range. I had just sold some property and was tempted to buy about 4000 shares but I had one son attending college in Boston and the second son about to head to Rochester. Decided I needed to keep the cash liquid & not take a chance with it.

If you keep having two birthdays a year, you'll catch up to me real fast!
Maybe my memory is going so that's why I just don't remember the bands any more. But I do miss Steppenwolf at the F&G festival. I still remember him from about 10 years ago.

Ah, gee-doesn't anyone else remember him from the Flower and Garden show about 10 years ago? I heard that the reason he wasn't asked back is because he was too loud. HELLOO-it's Steppenwolf, that's part of his appeal.
