It looks like the OKW themostats have been replaced with similar ones to SSR. I kept setting the themostat to 72 degrees, and I kept finding it back up at 78 degrees. I know there's a way to override this programming, but does anyone know how to do it?

I put this note in my Palm a while back. I'm pretty sure it's from Tim.
On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly there will be the letters "bp" where the temp numbers usually are. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. The maintenance man said that you might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode ofter 24 hours.
For us, the bypass lasted for 3 days, but you may want to reset it occasionally just to be sure.

I don't normally take candles to WDW with me, but I'll consider that in the future. But I wouldn't like to leave a candle burning when I'm not in the room, but I can use it overnight.
Thanks, Carrie, for the info. I added it to my Palm.

Wondering if this is against fire codes !:rotfl2:
But comming from a man whom uses a buick for a food processor I would not be overly surprized:thumbsup2:

Is it possible that rooms at some resorts (specifically BCV) might not have sensors? Whenever I've stayed there, the room is always cold enough, even at night. Now, BWV, on the other hand, is noticeably warmer when I first come in after being out for a long period of time, and it gets warm at night, However, I've never had any issues with the room warming up at BCV.

I'm pretty sure that on all my previous visits to OKW, when I set the thermostat, it stayed where I set it. So I'm wondering if Disney is rolling out the SSR thermostat to all the DVCs. And will it be to regular hotel rooms too?
