Hello,

My wife and I just joined DVC in August at the Widow to the World event. After looking at it for about 4 years and watching the prices rise we finally decided to join. Couldn't fight it any more. We leave for our Vacation Mach 11th!!:mickey:

I want to buy some DVC stuff such as a hat and a bumper sticker, but I am not sure where to get it. I called wdw-shop and they said that they need sku #"S and that I would need to call a place that sells the stuff I want, get the info then call them. I do not know who sells DVC stuff. I think I remember seeing some in the Beachlub or Boardwalk gift shop but I do not remember which.

Thanks, also I am just learning the abberivations for everything, so sorry about the long

Hello and welcome! Congratulations on joining DVC. I can't answer your question, but I wanted to be the first to welcome you.

Hey FFPMME!

Congrats on the DVC purchase. :)

Check out this page on the DVCNews website:

http://dvcnews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=279&Itemid=160

That has information on DVC items we've spotted in the gift shops. Look toward the bottom of the page for links to DVC items and stuff from a few of the resorts. The SKUs are listed for most items along with photos, descriptions and prices.

We can't guarantee that any of the items will still be in stock, but with the SKU the Disney CMs should be able to look up an item for you.

Hello! Welcome Home! This is a great site with loads of information to be learned. Have fun!

If you're looking for DVC merchandise, you can call any of the Vacation Club resorts directly and ask to be connected to their store. Most of the shops carry a small amount of general DVC items as well as items that are specific to that resort. They will be more than happy to ship some merchandise to you.

Another option, which I know many people use, is Ebay! It's possible to find some great bargains on items that are no longer available in the shops or on items that were never for sale, but were prizes given at DVC events! I've found some fantastic trading pins as well as some vintage Mickey Mouse t-shirts to add to my collections.

Have a wonderful day!
Gordon

Thanks for all the information. I looked at that link and it was exactly what I was looking for!!!:yahoo: I think I have my Christmas list!!!

In regards to the AKV they have a concerage level. I was thinking about staying there next time we go after it opens. Has anyone stayed on that level in any other resort? Is it worth it? Also does anybody know that by staying there we would be able to do the sunrise safari, liek the concerage guest in the hotel?

When I joined the DVC, I wanted to show it off, too! I've been disappointed by lack of general DVC merchandise. The two items I wanted most--the blue plastic travel mug (Nalgene-esc) and the grey hooded sweatshirt have both been discontinued :scared07:! With the help of the forum here, though, I just learned the sweatshirt is available at one of the outlet stores in Orlando, so I ordered it (thanks again, Mulan2!).

When I was at WDW in September, the DVC merch varied from resort to resort. It actually seemed that the Boardwalk carried the least at that time (which I found surprising given the size). And for some reason the DVC insulated mug was $9 cheaper at AKV than at an other DVC resort that carried it .

The list on dvcnews.com seems pretty complete based on what I saw (I think there was also a greyish blue Women's Tee like the red one listed), but again, not every resort carries all the items, so ordering from Merchandise Mail Order might be the easiest. You do have to pay shipping based on the price (not weight), but you don't have to pay taxes (at least, not if you're not shipping to FL), so it's really not too much more expensive.

I also have become an ebay junkie since returning from WDW. I find they have a great assortment of DVC pins ;) (still looking for a DVC lanyard, though).

And yes, as a concierge (I never spell that correctly) level guest you have access to both the sunrise and sunset safaris.

We also became members this past June and just came back from our 2nd DVC stay. It happened to be at AKV. This resort is just so beautiful and I just LOVE Boma!! Enjoy your future stays.
MatterhornMiss, awww, just glad that I was able to help you find your elusive sweatshirt.
I wore it home on the plane just to show everyone that I was a DVC member! I know, I'm a dork!

What does the sweatshirt look like? If I like it where could I get one?

There just so happens to be a picture of it on the merchandise resource page on dvcnews.com :thumbsup2:

I am looking at the pictures from the weblink above. I assume it is the gray with the colored logo. Thanks!!

I recently returned from staying at the GF concierge level. It's not totally worth it but it is - go figure. I did find out that you can do that special safari when staying only on the concierge level at the AK. I'd love to do that, too. The day before I left I bought in to the newest DVC (can't even remember it's name).
