Day 3, Monday, September 29th.

An unprecedented occurrence, DW was up before me. 8AM
Yesterday was so much fun. Today, I can hardly walk. I've got blisters on my blisters.
Barbie took a swim while I lay on a lounge chair, waiting to die.
After she was done swimming we went to the Bellvue Room for coffee. That made me feel better.
We strolled over to Epcot, and down to Test Track. It was 10:30, and we walked right on. Afterward, we walked around Mouse Gear.
At around 11:15, we made our way back to World Showcase.

We gave Pam a call, and met with her and Tom. We tried a few things at various kiosks on our way to Mexico, where we were joined by Kathy (kathyseb) and her husband Ron.

After that we tried some more food kiosks, and then made our way to
Future World and the F&W Welcome Center. The free wine event was full, so we headed over to Club Cool for some International Coke products.
Then rode Imagination, and afterward made our way back to WS.
We tried more foods, and had some adult beverages.

We were having such a great time, Pam suggested we join them for dinner at Tutto Italia for diner. So we canceled our ADRs at O'hana at the Polynesian, and Pam added us all to her reservation.
About 4 we returned to BWV and took a swim.
Barbie and I walked back over to World Showcase at about 6:15. We all met in front of the restaurant and were promptly seated.
I'm glad we decided to cancel our ADR's at O'hana, my meal was fantastic, as was the company. I had the Pasta with Crab, Barbie had the Roasted Chicken. Our server Stefano was great.

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z12/newjerseynick/4d3.jpg

And the deserts were amazing. I had the Tiramisu, Barbie the Melt In Your Mouth, Chocolate Hazelnut, If I Die Right Now, I'll Be Happy, Torte. At least, I think that was the name of it.

After dinner, we walked to the front of WS to get a spot for Illuminations. Excellent location. We sat and talked post show for a while, and then headed over to the BWV, where we sat and talked till midnight.

Sorry for the blisters :( Still, you seem to have a great attitude and really just be able to roll with the punches.

You got to meet so many dvcnews'ers! The forum is definitely going to have to plan a meet sometime!

Just an aside, because I'm wondering. Does your wife have any problem with pins falling off her lanyard? Although I don't want to trade, I've become addicted to buying pins I like off Ebay, and would like to show them off. But my cousin lost pins because the back came off without her knowing and we talked with others at WDW who had the same experience.

She's never lost a pin as far as I know, but she mostly keeps only pins she wants to trade on her lanyard. When she trades for a keeper, she puts it in her pin bag. She displays her pins on canvases in her office.
If she wears one somewhere that she wants to keep, she uses a locking back. They are available at the pin stations, I believe.

Nick - Ian discovered these things called blister bandages that you stick over the blister. They have gel in them and you can't feel the blister when you are walking. We keep them in my fanny pack so that we always have them with us I bought a dozen packages and stocked my Owners Locker - its one of our staples. Both BandAid and Dr. Scholl's makes them. The bandaid brand is actually better - a little more cushion and stick on better.

Its a thought for next time.

You may have just started a new "thing" with Barbie and I. She likes "Bambi"!:)
And it was a great desert!

Nick, you need to invest in peppermint lotion.

Our Owner's Locker is stocked with two if not three tubes.

Won't help with blisters, but oh my, you rub that on your feet and in a matter of a minute or two the soreness in your feet is gone.

Next best thing for sore feet besides walking barefoot across our kitchen floor (ceramic tile).

It was fun meeting up with you and Barbie.

DW collects Stitch, Pluto, Chip n' Dale (with food), and certain Mickey's that catch her fancy.

We loved the Bellevue Room. I had a coffee and pastry there every morning. And Barbie was reading a book she found on the shelf there,
"Wonderland of Knowledge".

Thanks for the tip about the canvas. I was going to make my own display from fabric, batting, and a frame, but the canvas is much easier. Plus, they are on sale this week at Hobby Lobby!

But, I had forgotten how far overboard I've gone on ebay recently. I think I'm going to have to buy more canvases :silly:

What do you collect MM?
Nick

Well. . .

I have never been interested in pin trading. But I got this idea from mousesavers.com where she recommended collecting something like pins from each resort.

My collection was just supposed to be resort pins. However, I couldn't find two of the resorts while I was in WDW (Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans) so when I got home, I looked on ebay. What a mistake! Besides resort pins, I've bought DVC pins (both villa pins, which can't be found for purchase, and DVC member pins).

I really love the Muppets and while in WDW purchased the two Muppet pins I could find. Then, when I got home, I looked on disneypins.com and saw all the Muppets pins that have been released in the past. Of course, I had to buy those too .

Since I bought so many resort pins while in WDW, I got these $1 completer pins so I could throw my hand into trading. I traded for this funny Belle "comic" pin, and, of course, when I got home, had to buy the 5 other Princess comic pins from the set.

I'm looking for a light up pin from the Electrical Parade since watching it at Disneyland still makes me cry :boohoohoo:. I also want a Matterhorn pin, since it is my favorite ride.

I'm trying to practice self control (too late, I'm afraid). Ebay makes it way too easy with PayPal--I just click a button and never even have to look at my credit card, which means I'm not aware of how much I'm spending, until BAM I get the statement. I have saved money for so long for the DVC and recent WDW that I have just gone crazy since coming back. Same with my Calorie counting. I had lost so much weight prior to WDW, but knew I was going to take a break during vacation. Well, it's been 2 1/2 weeks and I'm having trouble getting back on track :eating:. I need to start saving again because I want to add on points!

Sounds like you got the pin bug. DW just sticks to a few subjects, Stitch, Pluto , some Mickey, and Chip n' Dale with food. I, every now and again, throw a curve in there, like Figments. But she's stayed pretty consistent, otherwise, you can go broke fast.

And I'm way aware of losing track of diets after vacation. It's very hard to get back on track. It's not just the food, it's also the :biggulp:.

:listen: I hear ya'!

You might see the same pins described above soon listed on ebay again ;)
