I keep thinking I am going to have to add on points here. My family just loves this resort and we feel so at home here!
Do you own or love OKW????
Lets hear from you!

Lets see... I stayed once in a studio for 4 nights back in Dec. \'05 I think. LOVED the location across from the HH!
Next stay was in a 2 bedroom Villa- Cant remember the room number now and couldnt remember it then!- THE Viking brought us back to our Villa after a GG on the Poly beach and I had him driving around in circles...:D
Oh-forgot ! Stayed in a 2 bedroom during Hurricane Jeanne- AWESOME stay!
Love the Suitcase and love Olivias- will be stopping at OKW this Jan trip to have a early dinner at Olivias- Yummmmmm...Sirloin steak salad and key lime tart

We\'ve loved OKW so much ever since the first time we stayed there that we actually sold our points at another resort and bought at OKW so that we could be among the OKW owners. As a DVC guide said a few years ago (not knowing it was our home-\"Oh, yes-those OKW owners are rather....fanatical!\"

When we were finally able to make our DVC purchase in 2006, there was only one resort that I wanted to buy, and that was OKW. And I had never even stepped one foot on the property. It just had everything I look for in a vacation resort, and I just knew I would love it there. And after our first stay there in 2007, I was right. I love the spread out feel of the resort which makes you feel you have the entire resort completely to yourself many times over during your stay. Love the boat ride to DTD, and the bus service is not bad since so many members there always have a car(we don\'t like to drive while there). We plan to return to OKW for our 2nd stay in Jan \'09.

I only stayed there once, but I can see why you guys love the place. OKW is so relaxing and pretty. I really liked the boatride to DTD.

OKW is a state of mind. It is so relaxing to us, we have to talk ourselves into heading into the parks.
And it has the best watering hole on property. ;)

We stayed at OKW last week for the Marathon and found it has a lot to offer... But I still haven\'t made up my mind whether I prefer that style of vacationing to the \"hotel\" based resorts. We were in building 14 (right across from HH) so we had easy access to the pool, Olivia\'s, and the boat to DTD. Imagine the experience would be different in one of the more \"distant\" sections.
It was nice to be able to get right to our car...

This is a resort that we definately plan on staying at in the future. Talk about a place that feels like Florida! The Villas have the best floorplan of any WDW DVC. The two bedroom feels more like a house than any other 2 bedroom on property. We were given a tour of one last May. The staff there could not have been more accomidating. You OKW owners should be proud.

Well, all you OKW fans, we\'ll be staying there for the first time in 25 days :yahoo:
Give me all your best advice! Sound I request any specific section now? It will be me, Dh, my mother and 2 kids 8 & 4. We\'re staying in a 2 BR.
Do I need ADR\'s for Olivia\'s? Best drink at the Suitcase (hmm...wonder who will answer that one first :rolleye11: )
Also, we\'ll be coming in late and I was thinking about grocery delivery. Just a few basics...milk, juice etc. Should we go through DVC for it?
Thanks!!

First: Do not accept building 20 ( http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/okwmap.htm ). See that cirle in front of the building ? Every bus that entires OKW turns around in that circle... it ain\'t quiet.
You shouldn\'t need ADR\'s for Olivia\'s ( the food just isn\'t that good ).
Checking in late doesn\'t bode well with getting the location you want.

Hey there Stimpy!
With 2 young kids you might want to consider being by the HH. That is from what I understand a request now. I cant remember the last building # we had but it felt like I was really FAR away. Im sure the peace and quiet is nice but walking to the slide pool wasnt too fun and taking the AC\'d bus with an 8 yr. old wasnt too fun either.
I have used Garden Grocer and they were fine.
Awww...Viking.... I like Olivias! especially the Key Lime tart! :)

So you\'re the one.
Discussion around the Turtle Pond pool today:
Which is better? OKW\'s soundtrack, heavily Jimmy dependent, or Sirius 31, which is the Margaritaville station.
Yeah, I love OKW. It sure is the best!
We own 230 pts. at OKW and we LOVE LOVE LOVE OKW!

Even though we are not owners here, my DW and I love this resort. We have good friends that own here. They took me on my first trip to WDW back in 2000, when I was 28, and this is were we stayed. Also my DW stayed here back in college, in 92 I think. Finally, as a wedding gift, our friends put us up here for our Honeymoon in Oct 04. So we have a special place our our DVC hearts for OKW. As soon as we finish staying at the others we will be back here many times.

While we're BWV owners when we're looking for a nice relaxing vacation it's always OKW what we try to into into, both wife and I love the resort. Since we've joined DVC in 1999 we've stayed more times at OKW then any other resort. Don't get me wrong, we love BWV also, it's just if you're looking for quiet and relaxation you can't beat OWK.

we have ever done! :) Honi
Yeah, James made another video of our Grand Villa that is quite corny again. LOL! I'll be posting that soon! ;)

Nice video.
But why do you bring all them kids along ? I you left them home there'd be less wear and tear on the furniture & the parks would be less crowded.

To quote Stephanie Judith Tanner, "How rude!"
Speaking of ABC TGIF shows that visited WDW, the GV looks just like the one the Lamberts stayed in. Very nice!

OK. I'll bite. Why are you quoting a fictional character?
There's got to be more to this story....

:)Great video, Jen! You are breaking my heart -- we leave with our family in approx. 68 days and will be in a 2 br. with my DD, SIL & 2 DGDs and seeing your little girls having such a good time brings back so many good memories of other family vacations at OKW. The time cannot go fast enough for me!
We have stayed in every different accommodation there and loved them all. The only change I would make would be 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom of the GV instead of double beds. Otherwise, everything is perfect. Thanks for sharing!

My wife and I own at SSR but we decided to stay at a OKW with a 2-bedroom home. The living room was huge, in fact everything was huge! And, I agree with everyone else that it's a nice relaxing place. I would definitely stay there again but I would like to try the the other resorts as well.

Why is there no building number 57 – 61? Were there 5 buildings planed that were never built?
What’s with buildings 62, 63, and 64? Were they late additions to the complex?

I've owned since '93. I love the fact that everything is so spacious. It's nice to be able to put the kids to bed and the have the living room and bedroom to ourselves. Yes, the place is huge! Great for a family of 5. We've stayed at other places but this is our first preference for a true vacation.
