I have owned at BWV since 2004, but my first experience there was from renting points in 2003. I fell in love with the resort, and the rest, as they say, is History!

Own here. Love it here.

Realize that I need to treat it more like SSR and OKW though. Before kids, we vacationed at BWV more like it was a hotel. Now with little ones, it doesn\'t work for us. So, we\'ll be keeping a car and stocking the villa like we do when we go to the more \"self-sufficient\" resorts of OKW and SSR.

I don\'t own here, but I love the Boardwalk and all that it has to offer..I do want a small add on there some day when I\'ve got the extra cash (or if I win Mega Millions tonight:rotfl2: , i n which case it would be a big add on..LOL)

Wow cool looking birdies Laura! I see a lot of interesting birds when I walk along Cresecent lake to MGM but never saw them at the resort. You caught a great shot!

I remember you having some issues with DD at BWV nono. I\'m glad you found away around them and plan to stay there again. I\'d love to intersect BWV trips with you someday.

OOO very cool to know you plan an add on at BWV someday Athenna!! Good luck with Mega Millions--if you win you can give all your DVC buddies an add on! :goodvibes: ;)

I love the BW!!! Been my home resort since 2000. We own a bit at BCV also, but frankly, I would sell those in a heartbeat to buy more at the BoardWalk. We really don\'t want to stay anywhere else!

I saw those birds (could they have been the same two) just last Tuesday while I was sitting on the Magical Express bus, waiting to leave. They were ON a patio, right around where room 1111 would be (I\'ve stayed in 3111, so assuming....) I have a very fuzzy picture that will post when (read:if) I get my act together!

This resort, hands down, has the most beautiful lobby I have seen at Disney World. It reminds me greatly of the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. (Funny that the lobby of the Grand Floridian does not, since that hotel was modeled on the Del) I loved the varnished floors and the beautiful Chandilers. This place feels 100 years old, and was built in the 90\'s. I think the clown pool looks like something from a Stephen King novel, but that discussion is for another day.

Oh yeah, how I love that Boardwalk lobby. Walking in there really does feel like a step back in time, and it\'s beautiful as well. Do you guys know that the Elephant over the fireplace is a replica of a real hotel that was once in Atlantic City? For those who haven\'t seen it, here\'s what I am talking about:

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a221/idratherbeinwdw/WDW%20September%202004/b66a.jpg

And have you noticed one of the carousel horses on the mini carouselhas a Hidden Mickey on it? It\'s on the pinto horse\'s rear end if you get a chance to check it out sometime. I have a pic somewhere, but I can\'t find it right now. :(

BTW the much feared clown pool has a basis in Coney Island--one of the places the BW was modeled after (Atlantic City was the other). The Steeplechase park at Coney Island had a creepy looking clown icon plastered all over the place. I remember it freaking me out as a kid. Here it is:

Yeah, driving home tonight I saw the sign for it...If I had gone one more exit off the A.C. Expressway, I could have driven by it. Here\'s the official website for Lucy:

It takes awhile to load first time.

I knew that hotel was in NJ somewhere, how cool that you\'re near it. I\'d have to drive by sometime if I was close enough.

Thanks for the great link to the officil site, off to go check it out now.

Just out of curiosity, Mar\' how long is the waiting list for BWV these days? And how much per point for a small add-on...Just out of curiosity, remember?:P

The points are about to go up....from $98 to $106 on April 1st. Get on the waitlist now, and when they come available, you will be guaranteed the old price!! I love BWV, nothing like that view from your balcony!

Wow, an $8 increase:ohmy: I was hoping they\'d stay under $100 for a while..

:rotfl2:@ jigger tempting me with Roller Coaster Meltdowns

nono-I actually didnt mind being on a waitlist for a while, give me more time and extra cash.

But once again things have taken a turn for the worst at work:badpc: So thid may be a dream for now anyway....I\'ll keep you all posted, if I add on at BWV, you all would be the first to know:hug1:

When we did our add on at BW (added on before our first trip home :rotfl2: ) we had to wait a couple of weeks for points to become available.

That is a big increase. Might have to think about more BW points. But I think Ron wants OKW points.

Jen, how are you feeling today? And bummer about the job front.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Can someone talk me out of something? For whatever reason I have gotten in my head that it would be nice to have Easter dinner for the in-laws.

I feel great today, thanks for asking!
Yes, my job is falling apart:scared: Not a good time to be thinking about adding on anything!:badpc:

Nah, you dont really want to bring the inlaws, do ya?:rotfl2:

When I added on 50 more points in 2005 the points were available immediately (December u/y). I do recall reports of waiting periods, but that seemed to be few and far between. Sorry about the job woes Jen. Head feeling clear today?

LOVE the meltdown picture Laura, let\'s be sure we get to share a couple next trip! WHICH IS NOW 7 WEEKS AWAY!! :yahoo:

Happy Sunday Kathy! I don\'t know your in-laws. If they are good people sure, why not invite them? But if inviting them is going to make the day stressful and unenjoyable I vote nay! And he votes Neigh-->> :horse2:

Thanks, Mar, yup my head feels clearer today....As you may read in the nothing thread, I am signing up for online Travel Agent classes....That I can afford a lot sooner than a BWV addon:rotfl2: FOR NOW!;)
