I see there\'s a link to the full article about the free Internet being provided to DVC members staying on points on the home page of dvcnews.com (http://dvcnews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=297&Itemid=1).

But previously some people reported as early as December 30, 2007 that they were receiving free Internet.

Does anyone know if OKW is one of the locations that\'s already reported free Internet service?

I don\'t the OKW answer Rita, but all I can say on the subject of Free Internet is: It\'s about time !!!!

Now I have to pack a wireless router.

Near the end of the year I saw a handful of posts around the Internet from people claiming to be getting free service. At that point it looked like the free service was in place.

But as the 1st passed, more and more people have claimed that the free service is not in place. At least one person who thought he was getting free service in late December ultimately received a bill.

Now DVC has officially said it will be free sometime in the spring with no specific date mentioned. This isn\'t terribly surprising since the original statement made at the annual meeting was that we would get free service \"in 2008\" as opposed to something more specific like \"beginning on January 1st.\"

I think it\'s fair to give DVC a big thumbs-down for being so vague about this perk until 10 days into the new year. Jim Lewis made the announcement over a month ago.

If the service is still on a paid basis, when you first log-on you\'ll be asked to agree to terms and conditions which include the daily price. So, if you see that screen, assume it will NOT be free. Unfortunately there\'s no better answer than that right now.

Once it is gone, what will I get to complain about? :) Now, I will be able to check out without a single charge to the room. :thumbsup:

As of 01/02/2008, Internet was *NOT* free at WDW for DVC members.

I spoke with a Tech Support Guy and he said it was, \"...a work in progress...\"
